Jacobus FUHRMANN the Elder, Archiediakon was born abt. 1480 /1490 as son of the traderfamily Fuhrmann in Stargard Pommerania.
He died in Stargard on 25 November 1557
He was born and raised as a Katholic and became a katholic pastor. After the Reformation he changed his faith and became Lutheran.
He became the 2nd Archiediakon after the Reformation in Saint Mary’s church in Stargard. His life shows a great parallellity to the life of the Reformator Martin Luther.

Jacobus created out of the family-coat-of-arms his own coat of arms. In that field, where befor was the trident for the seatrader, he placed the protestant dubblecross and the tulip for the reboern faith.
Jacobus married abt. 1530 Ursula Rechenberg born abt. 1508 out of the Stargard patrician family Rechenberg. A trader family, but also pastors are known from this family.
